Teton Auto Group Expands Into Montana With Bozeman Dealership Acquisition

August 27, 2026

Idaho Falls-based Teton Auto Group has acquired Audi of Bozeman and Volkswagen of Bozeman, marking the family-owned auto retailer’s first expansion into Montana and adding the Audi luxury brand to its portfolio for the first time.

The transaction became effective August 10. The two Bozeman dealerships join Teton Auto Group as established, award-winning operations with a loyal customer base and experienced staff — a departure from many dealership acquisitions that require significant operational overhaul.

“This acquisition is an exciting milestone for our organization,” said Crystal Zmak, Teton Auto Group’s chief operating officer. “We’re not simply expanding our footprint — we’re welcoming an exceptional team that has already built something special. Their commitment to customer service and operational excellence aligns closely with our own values, and we’re excited to invest in their continued success while preserving the culture and reputation they’ve established in the Bozeman community.”

Brian Woodmansee will remain as general manager and take on a new role as managing partner with Teton Auto Group, providing continuity for employees, customers and manufacturer partners. Gibson Klaus, a nine-year Teton Auto Group veteran most recently with Teton Honda, has been promoted to general sales manager and will relocate to Bozeman. Zmak has been appointed dealer of both Bozeman locations while continuing her role as COO.

“For years, our team has built strong relationships with our customers and a dealership we’re proud of,” Woodmansee said. “Joining Teton Auto Group allows us to build on that success with the support of an organization that shares our commitment to putting people first.”

Founded in Idaho Falls in 2005, Teton Auto Group operates multiple dealership locations representing Toyota, Honda, Volkswagen and now Audi brands across the Intermountain West. The company said the Bozeman acquisition is part of its continued strategic growth throughout the region.
