Pentagon Launches Defense Investment Tracker

June 29, 2026

The Department of War’s Office of the Assistant Secretary of War for Industrial Base Policy announced the launch of an interactive public website tracking the department’s investments in domestic and allied supply chains, mapping more than $6.7 billion in Defense Production Act and Industrial Base Analysis and Sustainment funding made since 2015.

The Investment Intelligence Center, available at businessdefense.gov/investments.html, displays roughly 325 individual investments located across the United States as well as in Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand and Malaysia.

“A resilient defense industrial base requires transparent partnerships between the government and the private sector,” said Mike Cadenazzi, assistant secretary of war for industrial base policy. “By openly mapping our DPA and IBAS investments, we are sending a clear demand signal to industry and private capital markets about our most critical national security priorities.”

The site offers three ways to explore the data: an interactive map, a Mekko chart and a keyword portfolio search, all of which let users filter results by technology sector, year, location and funding mechanism. The department said the tool is intended to give Congress, defense analysts and private-sector partners a clearer view of the government’s progress toward onshoring critical manufacturing and reducing reliance on adversarial supply chains.

Cadenazzi, who was sworn into the role in September 2025, previously spent two decades as an entrepreneur and consultant in the aerospace and defense sector after a decade of active-duty service as a U.S. Navy cryptologic warfare officer.

The Office of the Assistant Secretary of War for Industrial Base Policy works with domestic and international partners to build and sustain what the department describes as a robust, secure and resilient industrial base supporting military operations.
