Toyota Recalls Over 140,000 Vehicles for Brake and Seatbelt Issues

February 8, 2025

Toyota is recalling more than 140,000 Toyota and Lexus vehicles due to potential safety issues, the company announced Thursday. The recall affects certain Tacoma, Camry, and Lexus RX models from the 2024 and 2025 model years.

The Toyota Tacoma recall involves four-wheel-drive models, which may have damaged rear brake hoses due to the accumulation of mud and dirt inside the rear wheels. Meanwhile, some Toyota Camry and Lexus RX vehicles may have second-row center seatbelts that were damaged during manufacturing.

Toyota says it will notify affected owners by early April 2025, and all necessary repairs will be performed free of charge. The recall includes:

  • 2025 Toyota Camry
  • 2025 Lexus NX
  • 2024 & 2025 Lexus RX
  • 2024 & 2025 Toyota Tacoma

Owners can check their vehicle’s recall status through Toyota’s official website or by contacting their local dealership.
