Montana State University Extension to host winter ag series in southeastern Montana Jan. 19-23

Montana State University Extension will host a winter ag series in southeastern Montana from Jan. 19-23.

The Southeast Montana MSU Extension Winter Ag Series includes events in Baker, Broadus, Circle, Ekalaka, Forsyth, Glendive, Jordan, Miles City, Terry and Wibaux.

Topics and speakers will vary by location; topics include crops, weed identification, vertebrate pest management, pesticide storage and private pesticide applicator license updates. One of the tour’s featured speakers is MSU Extension agronomy specialist Eeusha Nafi, who will discuss a potential new perennial cereal crop for Montana.

Private, commercial and governmental pesticide applicator credits will be available for participants.

There is no fee for the program, although some sites may charge for a meal.  Registration is not required but is appreciated by contacting the corresponding Extension office.
