Montana man who died in WWII POW camp has been identified

A soldier from Montana who died during WWII in a Prisoner of War camp has been positively identified.

The Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency announced Monday that US Army Private Wayne M. Evans of Hamilton – who was captured and died as a prisoner of war during World War II at the age of 21 – was accounted for on March 30, 2020.
