JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon Signals Support for Kevin Warsh as Next Fed Chair

December 13, 2025

JPMorgan Chase (JPM.N) CEO Jamie Dimon signaled his backing for former Federal Reserve Governor Kevin Warsh as the next chair of the U.S. central bank, the Financial Times reported Friday.

The comments come amid ongoing speculation over President Donald Trump’s choice to lead the Federal Reserve. Earlier Friday, Trump said he was leaning toward either Warsh or National Economic Council Director Kevin Hassett for the position.

According to the report, Dimon made the remarks Thursday evening at a private JPMorgan conference for asset management CEOs in New York. He noted that while Hassett might be the candidate more likely to support short-term interest rate cuts, he personally favored Warsh.

The Fed chair decision will play a crucial role in shaping U.S. monetary policy and financial markets in the coming year.
