Headwaters Hospice Expands, Bringing Compassionate Care to More Montanans

February 2, 2025

Just one year after earning CHAP Accreditation, Headwaters Hospice and Palliative Care has become a trusted provider of compassionate end-of-life care in the Helena Valley. Fueled by overwhelming community support, the locally and veteran-owned organization is now expanding its services to Butte and Silver Bow County, bringing in-home palliative care to the area for the first time.

“The people at Headwaters have a heart the size of Montana,” shared one family member, reflecting the exceptional care provided by the organization. Another added, “They go above and beyond to make my mom feel comfortable.”

CEO Jamie LeProwse attributes the organization’s success to its core values: Compassion, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence (C.A.R.E.). “This ensures that our team members are aligned, our patients receive the best care, and our community’s needs are met,” LeProwse said.

Starting in 2025, Headwaters will expand its palliative care services, offering more options for patients in Helena and introducing the first in-home palliative care provider in Butte. This expansion underscores the company’s commitment to meeting community needs with high-quality, patient-centered care.

With its locally-rooted approach and dedication to excellence, Headwaters Hospice and Palliative Care continues to make a meaningful impact on the lives of Montanans, ensuring that patients and families receive the support they deserve during life’s most challenging moments.
