Bridger Aerospace Lands Record-Breaking Wildfire Contracts for Super Scooper Aircraft

May 24, 2025

Bridger Aerospace Group Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: BAER, BAERW), one of the nation’s leading aerial firefighting companies, announced today it has secured two unprecedented 120-day task orders from the U.S. Forest Service for its fleet of CL-415EAF “Super Scooper” aircraft.

The contracts, each covering two aircraft, mark the longest task orders ever awarded to Bridger for Super Scoopers and come unusually early in the wildfire season — a move that highlights both the growing threat of year-round wildfires and federal efforts to strengthen rapid-response capabilities.

“These task orders recognize the Super Scoopers as one of the most effective tools in responding to wildfires,” said Bridger Aerospace CEO Sam Davis. “They also reflect the Forest Service’s increasing commitment to pre-position firefighting resources, allowing for faster deployment and more effective mitigation of damage to lives, homes, and natural resources.”

The Belgrade-based company, which provides wildfire management services to federal and state agencies across the U.S. and internationally, said two of its Super Scoopers are already in operation under a task order in Minnesota. A third aircraft is preparing to launch under the new agreements, while the remaining two will remain on standby under a “call when needed” status.

Davis emphasized that the extended contracts align with Bridger’s strategy to keep its fleet ready for year-round deployment, helping to ensure both wildfire readiness and financial stability.

“Securing these longer-term task orders demonstrates the success of our strategy to have our fleet available and ready year-round to increase the visibility and predictability of our revenue,” he said.

The CL-415EAF Super Scooper is known for its rapid water-loading capability and agility in rugged terrain, making it a key asset in wildfire suppression efforts.
