Wyoming Public Safety Communications Commission to Meet May 28–29 in Casper

May 25, 2025

The Wyoming Public Safety Communications Commission (PSCC) will convene in Casper next week for a two-day session focused on strategic planning and key updates to the state’s emergency communications infrastructure.

The meetings will take place May 28–29 at the Thyra Thomson State Office Building, located at 444 W. Collins Dr., and will include both an educational session and a formal business meeting.

On Wednesday, May 28, the commission will hold a strategic planning session from 12:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., where members will review and discuss the State 911 Plan. While a dinner with Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) staff is scheduled for that evening, no official business will be conducted during the dinner.

The PSCC will reconvene Thursday, May 29, at 8:30 a.m. for its regular business meeting. The agenda includes discussions and potential votes on matters crucial to maintaining and advancing Wyoming’s public safety communication systems.

The meetings are open to the public and will be held in person with a video conferencing option available to allow broader participation.

The PSCC is responsible for overseeing the planning and coordination of Wyoming’s statewide emergency communications system, including improvements to the state’s 911 capabilities and interoperability among first responders.
