Law Enforcement Academy Graduates 63 Officers

April 25, 2026

Sixty-three new law enforcement officers graduated this week from the Montana Law Enforcement Academy and will now begin service with 32 agencies across the state.

The academy, which operates under the Montana Department of Justice, provides basic and advanced training for state, county, city and tribal law enforcement officers.

The new graduates are expected to join departments in communities throughout Montana, helping fill public safety roles in local and state agencies.

Montana Attorney General Austin Knudsen congratulated the class and said the officers are prepared to begin protecting the communities they will serve.

“I am incredibly proud of today’s graduates for successfully completing their training at the Montana Law Enforcement Academy and beginning their careers in law enforcement. I have no doubt they are prepared to take on their jobs protecting their communities across Montana,” Attorney General Austin Knudsen said.

The academy serves as the primary training pipeline for peace officers in Montana and offers ongoing instruction for active law enforcement personnel throughout their careers.
