Montana Attorney General Austin Knudsen is scheduled to speak at the Republican National Committee’s 2026 Midterm Convention in Dallas, joining a national lineup of Republican officials and candidates as the party turns its attention toward the November elections.
Knudsen, who also serves as chairman of the Republican Attorneys General Association, is scheduled to address the convention on the opening night, Sept. 9, at 5:30 p.m. Eastern time.
The gathering is being billed by the RNC as its first midterm convention and will feature two days of speeches and programming centered on the party’s campaign themes for 2026.
The convention’s featured speakers include President Donald Trump, who is scheduled to deliver a keynote address on the first night and closing remarks on the second, and Vice President JD Vance, who is slated to give the second-night keynote.
Other speakers announced for the convention include House Speaker Mike Johnson, Senate Majority Whip John Barrasso, National Republican Senatorial Committee Chairman Tim Scott, House Majority Leader Steve Scalise, House Majority Whip Tom Emmer and RNC Chairman Joe Gruters.
The program also includes administration officials such as Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, Attorney General Todd Blanche, Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Administrator Mehmet Oz, Housing and Urban Development Secretary Scott Turner and White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt.
Republican governors, senators, House members and candidates from several states are also scheduled to appear, including Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, Sens. Ted Cruz, Jon Husted and Dave McCormick.
Knudsen’s role as RAGA chairman gives him a broader national political profile heading into the midterms. The organization works to elect and re-elect Republican attorneys general across the country and is involved in races in a number of states during the 2026 cycle.
