66 New Officers Graduate from Montana Law Enforcement Academy

July 26, 2025

Sixty-six newly trained law enforcement officers graduated today from the Montana Law Enforcement Academy (MLEA), ready to serve in 35 agencies across the state. The MLEA, a division of the Montana Department of Justice, provides both basic and advanced training to state, county, city, and tribal law enforcement personnel.

Attorney General Austin Knudsen was on hand to congratulate the graduates and offer words of encouragement.

“I am proud of the men and women who graduated today for choosing a career in law enforcement,” Knudsen said. “They will have challenges ahead, but their training at the Montana Law Enforcement Academy has prepared them and will serve them well. Congratulations to the Law Enforcement Officer Basic Course 187 graduates.”

The new officers will now begin their service, helping to protect and serve communities throughout Montana, bringing the skills and knowledge gained at MLEA to their respective departments.
