62 New Officers Graduate From Montana Law Enforcement Academy

July 30, 2026

Sixty-two new officers who will serve in 39 agencies across the state graduated from the Montana Law Enforcement Academy within the Montana Department of Justice, Attorney General Austin Knudsen announced.

Knudsen attended the ceremony to congratulate and address Class 190, the graduates of the Law Enforcement Officer Basic Course.

“I am proud of the men and women who chose to become Montana’s newest law enforcement officers,” Knudsen said. “They will face many unique obstacles as they embark on their career, but I am confident that their training over the last 12 weeks has prepared them for what lies ahead. Congratulations, Class 190!”

The Montana Law Enforcement Academy provides basic and advanced training for state, county, city and tribal law enforcement officers throughout the state. The academy, located in Helena, graduates three classes per year. Training covers firearms, ground tactics and legal instruction on how to constitutionally apply law enforcement skills in Montana.
