JPMorgan Set to Lead Bank Earnings Tuesday

October 11, 2026

NEW YORK—JPMorgan Chase will report third-quarter earnings Tuesday morning, putting the nation’s largest bank at the center of Wall Street’s first major test of the new earnings season.

JPMorgan is scheduled to release results at about 7 a.m. Eastern time, followed by an earnings call at 8:30 a.m.

Wall Street analysts are looking for earnings of roughly $5.90 a share on revenue of about $51.2 billion. That would represent another year-over-year increase for the banking giant.

Investors will be watching closely for signs of how higher interest rates and rising Treasury yields are affecting JPMorgan’s lending business, deposit costs and overall profitability.

Net interest income will be a major focus. Banks can benefit from higher rates when the spread between what they earn on loans and pay depositors expands, but sustained high rates can also slow borrowing and increase pressure on consumers and businesses.

Credit quality will also be closely watched for evidence that higher borrowing costs are leading to increased delinquencies or loan losses. JPMorgan executives have continued to describe the U.S. consumer as relatively healthy, supported by a resilient labor market.

Another focus will be investment banking and trading. Wall Street deal activity has strengthened from earlier levels, although investors will be looking for guidance on whether the pipeline for mergers, acquisitions and new stock offerings can maintain its momentum.

JPMorgan has entered the report after repeatedly topping earnings expectations in recent quarters. The bank exceeded consensus earnings estimates in each of its previous four quarterly reports.

Tuesday will also mark a broader kickoff for big-bank earnings. Goldman Sachs, Citigroup and Wells Fargo are among the major financial institutions scheduled to report the same day, followed by Bank of America and Morgan Stanley later in the week.

The results will give investors an early look at the health of consumers, businesses and capital markets as Wall Street assesses whether corporate earnings can continue supporting a stock market trading near record levels.
