Big Sky Broadcasting to Acquire Two Missoula-Area Radio Stations

September 17, 2026

Big Sky Broadcasting has filed to acquire two Missoula-area radio stations in a transaction that would expand the company’s media portfolio into broadcast radio.

The company is acquiring KMSO (102.5 FM) and KHDV (107.9 FM) from Sheila Callahan & Friends, Inc. Both stations are currently off the air.

According to the transaction filing, the deal carries a purchase price of $190,000. The transaction was first reported by Inside Radio’s Deal Digest.

Big Sky Broadcasting is owned by a private-equity group led by Jake Eaton and serves as the parent company of Montana Newsroom and other digital media properties. The acquisition would mark the company’s entry into traditional broadcast radio and give it its first two radio stations.

For Sheila Callahan & Friends, the transaction represents an exit from radio ownership following the sale of the two stations.

The transaction remains subject to Federal Communications Commission approval and other customary closing conditions. Once completed, Big Sky Broadcasting would take control of the stations and their licenses.
